Our team: Platform Engineering

  • We're a team of ~12 engineers, with part of the team focused on DevOps. We build and operate the developer tooling and AI tooling used across our R&D center.
  • We run on-prem in an HPC environment (LSF, shared storage…), with a wide stack of self-hosted services: GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory, Sentry, ELK, OpenWebUI, vLLM, and more.
  • Beyond infrastructure, we do ops for internal apps and stay close to our users. We often spend time advising engineering teams directly, not just running services for them.

What will you do?

  • Own infrastructure and DevOps work across the platform: CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI), build tooling, observability, and the on-prem services we run.
  • Improve how we operate our stack of internal apps and developer tools, with a focus on reliability and reducing operational toil.
  • Partner with the rest of the team on a gradual migration of services to Kubernetes.
  • Tackle the IT-adjacent problems that come with running production infra on-prem: storage, SSO, networking, security coordination, integration with IT.
  • Solidify and maintain our AI stack: model serving, monitoring, gateway, tooling and capabilities, GPU farm management, infra-as-code…
  • Script and automate in Python and bash (and Groovy where Jenkins is involved) to make our ops better.
  • Work directly with users when issues come up.
  • Help us move fast, keeping everything reliable. We're a small team running a lot of services, and we prefer pragmatic solutions that ship over perfect ones that don't.

  • 4+ years of hands-on DevOps or infrastructure experience in a production environment.
  • Solid DevOps fundamentals: docker, container orchestration (compose/k8s), CI/CD (Jenkins and/or GitLab CI), observability stacks like ELK, Linux administration.
  • Experience working inside or alongside a corporate IT environment. You understand how AD/SSO, corporate networking, proxies, and access policies work in practice, and you can collaborate with IT teams as a peer.
  • Comfortable scripting in Python and bash. Groovy is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes. You don't need to have led a migration, but you should be comfortable operating clusters.
  • Strong ownership instinct. You'll run real migrations and real ops work end-to-end, not just execute tickets.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Advantages

  • Background in IT before moving into DevOps, or significant time spent inside enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience operating on-prem self-hosted services at scale (GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory…).
  • Experience with HPC or shared-compute environments (LSF, Slurm, similar).
  • Exposure to AI/LLM infrastructure (model serving, GPU scheduling, RAG pipelines)..
  • Service catalogs, internal developer portals, or platform documentation systems.
